In St Lucia, there’s always something to do, apart from doing island tours, piton hikes, snorkeling at our beautiful beaches, horseback riding, atv tours, zip-lining, and much more, we could go on and on. But all these activities are scheduled during the day, later in the evening, is it time to rest? NO…We St Lucians love party and good times, and would love for foreigners to come join in and enjoy with us.

Gros Islet Street Party

Every Friday night, the fishing village of Gros Islet lays on a good street party. Stalls sell BBQ fish, chicken, and other seafood, potent rum brews, ice cold local Piton beers in giant coolers. Giant loudspeakers belt out Caribbean beats, and crowds gather to watch local exhibitionists strut their stuff. The atmosphere is generally good natured and fun.

Starts from 8pm

Anse La Raye Seafood Friday

This “fish fry” is an alternative Friday night street party to Gros Islet’s. Locals cook fish, lobster, crab cakes, conch, shrimp and octopus stew at booths along the waterfront street, and you dine at communal tables. Though there’s loud music and drinking, it’s less intense and more family-friendly than Gros Islet’s weekly knees-up, with more focus on the food.
